My research examines the effects of early adversity, nutrition, and social relationships on the stress system, immune system, cognition, emotion, behavior, and risk for later physical and mental health problems. I am particularly interested in elucidating pathways of risk and resilience in order to inform interventions that improve outcomes for children and adults who have experienced adversity
