Genetically-mediated risk factors leading to problems of anxiety, depression and substance use in adolescence while accounting for important psychological and environmental risk factors such as peer influences, as well as crime and drug use in neighborhoods. My work also includes ecological momentary assessment studies of adolescent and young adults to uncover how daily changes in mood relates to daily cigarette use.
