Thank you to Dr. George Mashour, Chair of Anesthesiology, Robert B. Sweet Professor of Anesthesiology Faculty, Neuroscience Graduate Program, U-M Medical School, for his past five years of outstanding leadership of MICHR. He will continue to serve as Co-Director going forward.
Prior to accepting the position, Dr. Lumeng had worked with MICHR in various capacities since 2015, serving as the Faculty Lead for Clinical Research Management, Special Populations-Children, and Participant Recruitment groups. She also has a long and successful history of involvement with units such as the Regulatory Affairs Office, IRBMED, and UMOR on central campus. Her research focuses on applying emerging science in child development and behavior to the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity. She has been the Principal Investigator on 15 extramural grants, including four R01s, and is currently the PI on $6.4M in total extramural funding.
