Collaboration Best Practices Case Study: Dr. Glenn Green
Dr. Green is a quietly compelling individual who concisely dissects what it takes to collaborate effectively. He is the winner of the Collaborative’s Researchpalooza award but more importantly, he is also the winner of Popular Mechanics’ Breakthrough Innovator Award for the design and implantation of a 3D-printed, bioresorbable splint to treat tracheobronchomalacia. He began our interview with the following statements:
“Listen to your patients – they can inspire new frontiers of medicine”
“I was talking with a patient. She was complaining how bad things were for her child [with sleep apnea] and said ‘can’t you just 3D-print something?’ And I said, ‘…maybe.’”
